House & Home Media
As a designer at House & Home Media, I create fresh-looking pages while maintaining the publication’s unique style. I often get assigned our Food Feature, Trendwatch and special package stories. I also design customized promotional advertisements for clients with our marketing department.
I play a large role designing our annual Special Kitchens and Baths issue, credited as Art Director in both the 2020 and 2021 editions, as well as Senior Designer in the 2022 issue.
FIGO Spring 2019 Lookbook
For FIGO’s Spring 2019 lookbook, it was decided that the art direction would take on more colour. We accomplished this by selecting a complimentary colour for each collection. These colours help to segregate each collection within the lookbook, as well as forming a colour identity for each collection. We also used these colours throughout the Spring 2019 Release campaign when the booth displays for Quilt Market Spring 2019 were being designed. Instead of showing the fabric swatches digitally, like we have in the past, the swatches were photographed together to showcase how well each print works together and how the collection coordinates beautifully as a whole.
I was responsible for designing lookbooks and other marketing materials within the FIGO division, including social media, for each release. FIGO Fabrics Spring 2019
FIGO Fabrics is the modern division of Northcott, a wholesale fabric company that distributes internationally. FIGO produces fabric with a current aesthetic, embracing what’s trendy and modern.
This is the second lookbook FIGO has produced, one for each collection release. I am responsible for designing lookbooks and other marketing materials, including social media, for each release. This small division launched in April 2018 and has been doing extremely well for its short lifespan and going strong. The division won “Best Multiple Booth” award during its debut at International Quilt Market Portland 2018.
Banyan Batiks September 2017
Northcott Silk Inc. is a wholesale fabric company that distributes internationally. Banyan Batiks is a division of Northcott, offering handmade batiks from Indonesia. The company distributes fine cotton printed fabrics for the quilt, craft and home décor industries.
As the lead marketing graphic designer for Banyan Batiks I am responsible for designing catalogues for each release, occurring quarterly. Banyan Batiks' launch began with the September 2017 Catalogue, where in I created engaging spreads featuring fabrics and quilts created for that release. View the full catalogue here: September 2017.
